This tour is ideal for tourists arriving on morning flights into Nairobi from the US, UK, and Indian markets, as they do not require an overnight stay in the city before the safari. Travelers from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE, arriving on Emirates and Etihad flights, will likely need an overnight stay in Nairobi.
Below is a typical safari itinerary. Note that prices vary depending on the month or travel season, with peak season from July to October and low season from April to mid-June.
As you leave Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your personal Gorilla Page Safaris guide greets you with a big smile: ‘Karibu Kenya – welcome to Kenya!’ The guide takes you to your hotel, where you can relax and enjoy vibrant Nairobi images. The next day, your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your private safari jeep and take the liberty to stop and watch the animals as long as you like!
The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most famous places for safari worldwide. Located 270 kilometers west of Nairobi, this is one of the biggest game reserves in Africa. It extends over 1,500 km² and has more than 400 species of birds and no fewer than 95 species of mammals. Big cats are frequently spotted here, and this is THE place to watch the world-famous Great Migration between August and October, with its vast herds of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River.
Spend a full day at the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. You may want to add a visit to a Maasai Village or a hot-air balloon ride to your safari (optional activities at an additional cost—please inquire with us). Return to your camp by evening.
After a relaxed breakfast and check-out by 8:30 a.m., you will depart for a return road transfer to Nairobi. (As per the latest park rules, all visitors must exit the park before 10 a.m.) Your expected arrival time in Nairobi is early afternoon (typically by 2:30 p.m.). You will be dropped off at your hotel or provided a free onward transfer to the airport for your flight home.
