GORILLA PAGE SAFARIS BOOKING AND PAYMENT POLICY

Below are our Gorilla Page Safaris Booking Terms and Policies, cancellation, and refund terms and conditions. Please read them; we love communicating smoothly with our clients throughout the trip, from planning to execution.

 

BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION OF THE TRIP

A 50% deposit of the total amount is required to confirm the booking, which is supposed to be confirmed 60 days before the tour commences. Gorilla Page Safaris reserves the right to denounce any bookings made less than 60 days before the trip commences.

Full payment is expected 21 days before the tour’s start date during the low season and 30 days during the high season. Gorilla Page Safaris may cancel the booking if the full payment is not made promptly.

 

CANCELLATIONS BY GORILLA PAGE SAFARIS

Gorilla Page Safaris constantly endeavors to avoid cancellations. However, in cases of unavoidable circumstances, we shall cancel your confirmed holiday with a written notification 30 days before departure. Once we cancel your Safari, we shall allow you to purchase an alternative safari from us of a similar standard to that originally booked if available.

Suppose you opt for an alternative safari that is less expensive than your original package. In that case, you are eligible for a refund of the difference (balance), but if it is slightly costly, you must top up the difference (balance). Except where we cancel for reasons other than those mentioned in this clause, we shall have no further liability to you. We regret that we cannot pay any expenses, costs, or losses incurred due to cancellation.

We reserve the right to terminate the safari without prior notice if, in our opinion or the opinion of any other person in authority/security, the person who booked a safari with us is likely to cause danger or security damage to the country. No refunds will be made, and we shall not pay any expenses or costs incurred due to the termination.

 

CANCELLATIONS BY CLIENT

Should you be forced to cancel, you must inform us in writing, citing the reasons for your cancellation. To cover our estimated loss caused by the cancellation, as we may be unable to resell your tour to any other clients, cancellation fees will be exerted as below

More than 60 Days to the start date of the trip                          Full refund

21-29 Days Before the Start date of the trip                                70% charge

Less than 21 Days Before the start date of the trip                     NO Refund

Primates Permits (Gorillas, Chimpanzees, and Golden Monkeys)    No Refund

NOTE: Gorilla Page Safaris reserves the right to deduct all expenses incurred, like transfer fees or other related charges, from the money paid.

 

PRIMATE PERMITS (GORILLAS, CHIMPANZEES AND GOLDEN MONKEYS)

After receiving the payment from the clients, we can only secure the primate trekking permits from the relevant National Park. Securing a gorilla permit is not a guarantee of seeing the gorillas. We cannot accept liability for any circumstance leading to canceled gorilla viewing. The relevant authorities only refund gorillas’ and other primates’ trekking permits. We are, therefore, not liable for their refund. We shall use our best efforts to get a refund from the relevant authority and pass it on to the client as soon as we receive it.

 

JURISDICTION

Gorilla Page Safaris is based in the Republic of Uganda and operates under Ugandan laws.

 

ACCIDENT OR LOSS OF PROPERTY

We are not liable for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless it is due to our representative negligence.
