Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, is a vibrant and clean city with a rich history and culture. After a brief meet and greet, you will embark on a city tour of Kigali.

This tour includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a somber yet powerful reminder of the country’s past and a testament to its resilience and recovery. Following the city tour, you will have lunch at one of Kigali’s renowned restaurants, offering a taste of the local cuisine. In the afternoon, you will start your drive to Volcanoes National Park in the northern part of the country.

The scenic drive through the Rwandan countryside offers stunning views of the rolling hills and lush landscapes that the country is known for. Upon arrival at your lodge near the park, you will have dinner and an opportunity to rest, preparing for the adventure that awaits you the following day.

The day starts early with a hearty breakfast at your lodge before heading to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety. The anticipation builds as you learn about the majestic mountain gorillas you are about to encounter. You will be assigned a group of trackers and a specific gorilla family to visit.

The terrain can be challenging, but the reward is worth every effort. Upon encountering the gorillas, you will spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Watching the gorillas interact, play, and go about their daily lives is a profoundly moving experience. After the trek, you will return to your lodge for lunch and some well-deserved rest.

In the afternoon, you can opt for a cultural visit to the nearby Iby’iwacu Cultural Village. In the afternoon, you will visit the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera, which offer a relaxing moment after a long day of gorilla trekking. This beautiful lake has beautiful scenery, which offers an amazing experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge before beginning the journey back to Kigali. The drive offers another chance to take in the scenic beauty of Rwanda’s countryside. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will have time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing, depending on your departure schedule.
