1 Day Birding safari in Mabira Forest

Our first stop over will be at Sezibwa falls – a Buganda cultural site rich with birds, folktales and great scenery. This is a great Uganda birding spot for bird lovers, cultural site with folk stories and traditional healers and lastly the water falls that equally have a story as to how they got to be named. On arrival we shall be met by a resident tour guide who will lead us explaining the different.

Then proceed to Mabira Forest, Mabira forest is the largest rain forest nearest to Kampala city. We will drive to the Eco tourism center to take on one of the many forest trails where we take hike through the forest; we will meet our local site guide who will lead us on this excursion.

On the trail, you will learn about the different medicinal trees in the forest and how people lived and survived on the forest. You will encounter different bird species, beautiful butterflies, red-tailed monkeys jumping from one tree to another and hopefully sight the Uganda Mangabeys on a good day. Later transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe Airport.
