Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Today marks the highlight of your 10-Day Uganda Wildlife & Walk Safari: gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety guidelines. You will also be assigned to one of the gorilla families you will visit today. The trek can vary in duration and difficulty, depending on the location of the gorilla family. It may take a few hours or the entire morning, but encountering these gentle giants in their natural habitat is truly rewarding. Once you find the gorilla family, you will have up to an hour with them. After the gorilla trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you can explore the surrounding area or participate in optional activities, such as a community visit or nature walk.
