Explore the primate capital of the world- Kibale Kibale Forest National Park for Chimpanzee trekking and the amazing Bigodi wetlands excursion.
Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park to enjoy the big game safari and a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, known for hippos and more. The tour takes you to Bwindi Forest for the ultimate gorilla trekking experience. As you get to the end of your trip, visit the breathtaking Lake Bunyonyi and then, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy an afternoon-evening game viewing and the morning nature walk.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to Kibale National Park
Depending on your arrival time, the Gorilla Page Safaris guide will be waiting for you at the airport and will brief you about the trip. You will have lunch and then embark on your road transfer to Kibale National Park. On your arrival in the evening, you will check in at your lodge and for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi excursion and transfer to Queen Elizabeth
You will enjoy your early breakfast and get transferred to the briefing point before setting off in search of chimpanzees. You will then set off to the jungle with a ranger guide for the trekking. Since nature is unpredictable, you will not be sure about the time you will spend in the forest. When you find the chimpanzees, you are allowed to spend one full hour with them as you enjoy their social life and habits. You will then return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, you will embark on Bigodi wetlands excursion. The Bigodi wetland boasts of an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primate species like the black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and baboons among others.
In the evening, you will then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive and Kazinga channel experience
On this day 3 of your 8 Days Best of Primates and Wildlife experience in Uganda Proceed for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains and be on the look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants plus lions, leopards (though hard to spot) among others. Return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles among others will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds on the water shores. After your boat trip, you can proceed to an evening game drive or just go to relax from your lodge.

Day 4: Game drive in the Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After your breakfast, head to the Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions stands at about 60-70% but sometimes they are hard to spot. Should you get to spot them up in the tree, the sight is picturesque and memorable.
From Ishasha, we shall embark on the final leg of our journey taking us to your lodge in Bwindi. Once at the lodge, you can choose to just relax or move out for the evening local community and cultural encounter. This involves cultural dances from the local people of the community and also participating in some activities e.g. traditional cooking, weaving among others.

Day 5: Ultimate Gorilla Trekking Experience
Have your early breakfast and move to the rangers’ post for briefing. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular! The area offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable.
After the trekking, return to the accommodation and have a good rest. As your choice, you can still move out again to encounter the local community.

Day 6: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi the second deepest lake in Africa for relaxation
On day 6 of your 8 Days Best of Primates and Wildlife experience in Uganda, have a relaxed breakfast and then drive off to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is framed by lush, green-terraced hills and the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day. Enjoy a canoe trek on the lake which will introduce you to the major islands and their rich history but also there will be some great time spent in the traditional dugout canoe. Then return to the accommodation for more relaxation with a spectacular view of the Bunyonyi right in front of you.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and evening game drive
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then, set off to Lake Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo is a compact gem, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Entebbe/Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah National Parks but home to so many bird species as well as animals such as Giraffes, Zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, and the elusive leopard among others.
On your arrival, check-in for some rest and hot lunch before heading out for a late afternoon-to-evening game drive that will bring us up close with the Mburo inhabitants. Finally, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Walking safari and return to Entebbe International Airport
Enjoy your early breakfast on the last day of your 8 Days Best of Primates and Wildlife experience in Uganda with Gorilla Page Safaris and proceed for the park for safari walk. Mburo morning park walk is done in the presence of an armed ranger guide. On this early morning guided walk, you will have the opportunity to encounter; Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelope, and Cape buffaloes among others at a close range. Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond.
Thereafter, you will return to the accommodation for checkout and then hit the road to Entebbe airport for your flight or to your lodge with en route lunch.
