8 Days Wildlife all-inclusive Uganda Flying Safari

The trip starts in Entebbe after spending your first night facing the largest tropical lake- Victoria

From Entebbe, you will fly to Murchison Falls National Park for game drives and boat safaris and then to Queen Elizabeth National Park to enjoy chimp trekking and some more game drives. There is an ultimate experience of Gorilla Trekking as your final activity in Bwindi National Park, home to the mountain gorillas. You will explore these parks in just a few days of your schedule with not much time spent on the road.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to your lodge for relaxation

On your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will receive a warm welcome from our guide who will brief you about the trip and transfer you to your lodge for relaxation.

If you arrive earlier, you will explore Entebbe and the surrounding areas in Kampala this afternoon. You can choose to have dinner at the hotel or we can recommend good spots for food and drink around town.

Day 2: Morning Fly to Murchison Falls National Park

On day 2 of your 8 Days Wildlife all-inclusive Uganda Flying Safari, you will have your breakfast and then be transferred to Entebbe Airport for your flight to Murchison Falls National Park arriving at Pakuba Airstrip. Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s biggest National Park and offers a large amount of wildlife and the most powerful waterfalls in the world. On your arrival, you will check in at your lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation. You will then go for an evening hiking at the top of the falls and then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

On this second day in the park, embark on a morning game drive which is a beautiful drive in the open African savanna in search of lions, leopards, hyenas, buffalos, elephants, Jackson hartebeest, oribi, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs among others. You will also enjoy spotting various bird species such as the secretary bird, black-chested snake eagle, tawny and marshal eagles’ carmine and swallow-tailed bee-eaters, and many more. Return to your lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation.

In the afternoon you will embark on a boat cruise experience to the bottom of the falls. The boat is a 3-hour experience but worth your time. You will be able to spot wildlife on the riverbanks like buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and hippos in the water among others. You will then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On this day, you will drive to Pakuba Airstrip for your flight to Kasese Airstrip just near Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival in Kasese, you will drive to the 6th most diverse park- Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is named after Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II of England after she visited the park in 1952.

The park stretches from the crater-dotted foothills of the Rwenzori range in the north, along the shores of Lake Edward to the remote Ishasha River in the south, incorporating a wide variety of habitats that range from savanna and wetlands and lowland forest. You will check in at your lodge for lunch and relaxation and then You will have an evening game drive in the park.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking experience. It is Located approximately 1 km across at its broadest point and about 100 meters deep, this gorge is drained by River Kyambura. The landscape is among the most impressive you will find in Uganda and it is swarmed with a rich wildlife bio-diversity that comprises of primates, wild animals as well as birds. The trekking is generally a 2-4 hr walk in the forest and will include an hour with the wild community of chimpanzees that have habituated.

In the afternoon, you will have a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel where you can expect to see hoippos in big numbers with other mammals like elephants and buffaloes among others. Queen Elizabeth boasts one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game park, from the open savannah to rainforest, dense papyrus swamps and crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward.

Day 6: Morning drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and community encounter

On your last day in Queen Elizabeth Park, you will depart for Bwindi National Park in the morning. On your way, you will have a chance to have a game drive in the Ishasha sector where the tree-climbing lions are found. On your arrival in the home of the mountain gorillas, Bwindi National Park you will check in at your lodge for lunch and relaxation. You will then embark on a community tour in the evening. You will meet the Batwa community who initially lived in the park with the gorillas before it was gazetted as a national park. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is best known for gorilla tracking, but it also provides refuge to elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys, and various small antelopes, as well as some bird species restricted to the Albertine.

Day 7: Ultimate Gorilla Trekking experience

On this highlight of the safari, you will get up early have your breakfast, and be transferred to the briefing point for a gorilla trekking adventure. After the briefing, you will start your journey to the jungle in search of the mountain gorillas. Trekking the mountain gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours depending on where gorillas are on the particular day.

You will be led by an experienced ranger guide who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the gorillas. After a wonderful experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation.

Day 8: Flight to Entebbe International Airport

On this last day of your 8 Days Wildlife all-inclusive Uganda Flying Safari, you will take your morning flight back to Entebbe to enjoy beautiful aerial views of southern Uganda, the hills are thick with vegetation. You will arrive at the airport to connect with your international flights home.
